Episode 2: Stories of Belonging, Participation & Transformation
Episode 2 – Reflections on Belonging, Participation & Transformation
In this episode, Hanne Pedersen and Sandra Geitz, project coordinators and facilitators of the Humankind Erasmus+ Training June 2025, reflect on the stories of belonging, participation and transformation that emerged during the journey.
Together, they revisit the original vision and purpose of the training and explore its lived impact.
What do practices such as deep listening, art, inquiry, and nature connection contribute when it comes to acknowledging our basic shared humanness, beyond division and separation?
What did we witness during the training about how these practices support people in creating inclusive, empowered and resilient communities?
What did we learn about the perspectives, practices and processes that move us - individually and collectively - towards a felt sense of intrinsic belonging, empowered participation and genuine transformation… rather than away from it?
How do we care for the whole?
Through this training, youth workers were invited to become co-writers of new empowering stories of HUMANKIND.
So what did we discover?
What do Belonging, Participation and Transformation truly mean when we recognise that we are living in an interconnected world?
