Immersive training in Momoakademiet, Oslo - Norway, 15th Sept - 15 December 2025
Self practice period: January - June 2026
Final module and graduation: 15th - 21st of June 2026
Momoakademiet is looking for passionate individuals to join our pilot program, the HumanKind Coaching and Facilitation Programme. The first cohort kicks off in autumn 2025, from September to December.
We're reaching out internationally to find those who feel called to participate in this innovative training program designed for people who work with people! This program is for young adults aged 20-35 and includes a 3-month stay at Momoakademiet in Norway, followed by a self-practice period of 6 months in your home environment before a final module and graduation. In our pilot program, there are 16 available spots.
The program leads to certification as a HumanKind - Living Presence Facilitator from Momoakademiet, and as a coach in The International Zen Coaching Academy.
Why HumanKind?
HumanKind is the pilot for an in-depth training program that engages the power of meditation, deep listening, creativity, somatic awareness, and self-reflection, into how to face the many challenges of our times. As students, you'll be co-creators of a powerful new offering to the world, supporting transformation anchored in human connection, presence, and creativity.
We believe it’s essential to bring personal growth practices out of the “alternative” scene and into the mainstream conversation about how we can co-create the world we want to live in. This pilot program represents the first development of our international academy and our yearly program, training community builders, leaders, and agents of change to facilitate embodied transformation through deep listening, embodiment, art, nature connection, and group work.
The HumanKind Pilot Programme seeks to inspire personal, communal, and systemic change that promotes humanness. We understand that a root cause of the global crisis is that we are living out the dream of separation in an interconnected world. Being human, we always participate with our very beingness, whether we are conscious of it or not. This is why awareness and conscious participation matter!
With this pilot program, we invite young adults who are passionate about working with people to study with us and become co-writers of new empowering stories for HumanKind. Together, we will explore:
- What does Belonging, Participation, and Transformation mean in an interconnected world?
- How can we become the leaders the world needs, facilitating deep-rooted conversations and discovery processes anchored in deep listening and attunement to life?
- How can we create environments that nurture a sense of belonging, transformation, and participation based on human connection, presence, and creativity?
We believe that the capacity to facilitate transformation arises from our ability to hold opposites: standing in our values while remaining open to change, leading while also following, creating structure while letting go, caring for our creations without attachment, and taking responsibility while acknowledging a greater movement at work. Relationships with self, others, and the world are not static; they are evolving connections that deepen over time. By fostering an ongoing discovery process anchored in intrinsic belonging, we can participate in a movement towards becoming more human— and the world is in desperate need of humanness.
Key Components of the Programme
Deep Listening, Embodiment, Art, and Group Work
The practice of deep listening and embodiment reveals our inherent belonging through direct experience, opening our receptivity as part of a larger whole. It connects us with the intelligence of the moment, allowing us to learn as individuals and within a collective field, connected to a greater whole.
Art, as a creative practice, acts as a mirror for our participation in the world, guiding us to become aware of our authentic expression within the deeper currents that intertwine us all.
We see humans as relational beings that learn about themselves and are shaped by relationships. We are born and develop in an environment, in social structures, cultures and collective fields – often so unconscious that we cannot perceive the impact of it. Therefore we understand Group Work to be a fundamental aspect of transforming as a collective and learn together, as we go, maturing into wisdom.
Current educational systems often fail to provide avenues for participation from an inquiry-based space. Many people experience isolation, hopelessness, and a lack of agency. We believe that this form of active participation—rooted in inquiry, experiential learning, and creativity—should be prioritized to empower human beings to trust their capabilities in making an impact in the world.
THE AIM OF HUMANKIND
HumanKind Coaching and Facilitation Programme proposes practices that facilitate a return to the felt sense and a deepening connection with our participation in life. By engaging in an in depth process of deep listening, group work processes, embodied experiences and artistic expression, we rediscover our inner landscapes, creative contribution and intrinsic belonging, and we explore what it means to consciously participate, create, facilitate and innovate, as a friend, facilitator and leader deeply anchored in our intrinsic belonging.
How do I participate? What is my impact and how am I impacted? What are the qualities I value and care for, that I would love to live in my life? What does it mean to be human?
Our aim is to empower our students with a diverse set of skills, fostering authentic participation, self-expression, and creative, collaborative learning experiences.
Our intention is to contribute to the personal and professional growth of our students , enabling them to better support and guide the people they work with, promoting community engagement and transformation through one-one transformative coaching work, presence-based and responsive group facilitation, and a deep embodiment of principles and practices for awareness-based leadership.
Momoakademiet is associated with Zen Coaching, providing our students with the opportunity to become certified coaches in the international Zen Coaching Academy. This esteemed coaching school is recognized for its comprehensive training and support, boasting a network of approximately 500 certified coaches. By participating in this programme, you will not only gain valuable skills and insights but also join a vibrant community of practitioners dedicated to fostering personal growth and transformation.

TIMEFRAME OF THE PROGRAMME
August 2025: Online Preparatory Meeting (3 hours)
A webinar welcoming everyone, connecting participants, clarifying practical points, and setting intentions for the learning journey.
15 September - 15 December 2025:
A 3-month immersive learning journey
The immersive three-month part of the programme, is structured as a cyclic journey, integrating the modules of Zen Coaching training, which leads to certification, within a broader creative framework.
Each cycle of the programme builds upon the previous one, introducing greater depth and understanding while providing additional perspectives. Participants will engage in a series of dynamic modules that enhance their awareness and skills, culminating in a unique creative project at the end of each cycle. These projects allow students to integrate their learnings and express them in innovative ways, whether through a participatory art event, workshop, or collaborative project.
By participating in this cyclic process, you will not only deepen your understanding of the foundational principles of the programme but also cultivate your creativity and strengthen your connections with yourself and your peers, setting the stage for impactful contributions to your community.
Cycle 1: Intrinsic Belonging - Relaxing into Presence (Weeks 1-3)
Focus: Establishing foundational practices that nurture a sense of belonging within oneself, with others, and in connection with the natural world.
In the cycle we explore and experience how relaxing into presence, also deepens our connection to intrinsic belonging and embodied wisdom, and thus enables us to support both ourselves, eachother and the people we work with, in living authentic and meaningful lives.
Cycle one ends in a creative project focused on intrinsic belonging, performed collaboratively in nature, where the students share their explorations and their findings through an art event.
Cycle 2: Transformation (Weeks 4-6)
Focus: Deepening the understanding of personal and collective transformation through self-exploration, coaching and facilitation practice.
This cycle has an emphasis on deep healing and transformation through awarenessbased practices such as deep listening, inquiry, allowance, curiosity and openness.
We gain a deeper trust in allowing our present moment experience to be as it is, and open, unfold and transform towards a deeper embodiment of our essential nature.
We also experience how our presence can be a support for others, and how we can work with people from a place of nondoing, beyond right and wrong. Refraining from fixing, analyzing or even "helping" the other, our support is anchored in empathetic attunement, curiosity and openness to the inherent wisdom of life.
Cycle 2 ends in an art project where the students honor their personal life story and are empowered in their understanding of transformation and personal growth.
Cycle 3: Participation & Heart to Heart Communication (Weeks 7-10)
Focus: In cycle 3 we explore the principles of heart-to-heart communication, focusing on empathy and authenticity, as fellow humans and also as facilitators. We explore the paradigm shift needed to live life anchored in presence and support others to do the same. We also emphasize participation through lightness, playfulness, and heart-to-heart living, while integrating trauma awareness and co-regulation.
We practice facilitation and learn important principles and practices to create from a place of deeper connection to being, and facilitate awareness based change.
Cycle 3 ends with a creative process where the students are supporting each other in forming and creating their own workshops for the local community, following their own sparks and sharing what they are passionate about.
Cycle 4: Project Empathy Tent + Personal and collective reflection (Weeks 11-12)
Focus: In week 11 of the project, the students will facilitate an empathy tent in the busy streets of Oslo, offering empathy sessions to people in the nidst of their busy lives.
In week 12 we have time for personal and collective harvesting and reflection on the whole process, while also having time to prepare for the upcoming self-practice period.
A more detailed program structure, will be available for students after sign up .

UNDERPINNING PRACTICES
At the heart of the HumanKind Leadership and Facilitation Programme are transformative practices that empower you to connect deeply with yourself, others, and the world around you. These underpinning practices will enhance your learning journey, providing you with valuable tools to facilitate meaningful change.
At the centre of these is Zen Coaching. The programme also leads to possible certification as a coach in the international Zen Coaching Academy.
What is Zen Coaching?
Zen Coaching is a powerful approach to living, relating, and coaching that helps us connect more deeply with ourselves and our true source of power, wisdom, and creativity. It supports us in discovering the power of relaxing into the present and experiencing the ease and fulfillment of living in effortless flow.
Zen Coaching was founded in 2005 by Kåre Landfald from Norway. He was inspired by, among others, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, A.H. Almaas, Marshall B Rosenberg, Osho and modern coaching approaches. Kåre has degrees in Philosophy, Management and Information Systems, and has previously worked internationally for the UN and for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The students in workshops and trainings also contributed significantly to the evolution of the approach.
The first Zen Coaching workshop was held at a retreat centre in Sweden in 2005 and courses still continue there today. Over the years Zen coaching expanded the training into Norway, Denmark, Poland and South Africa. Today there is an international network of 800 coaches and upcoming teachers who offer seminars, individual coaching and other events in many countries around the world and in different languages.
Key Principles of Zen Coaching:
- The Intention: To recognize and live our nature as essence—free and spacious awareness.
- The Practice: To explore and support ways of recognizing and living our true nature.
- The Community: To be part of a network of friends who practice living as essence, for enjoyment and mutual support.
As coaches trained in this tradition, we don't seek to fix or guide, but rather to provide support through simple presence, being here, resting as awareness, and approaching with curiosity. We offer empathic listening, staying present to what is alive in the moment, and supporting others in connecting deeply with themselves.
This approach emphasizes supporting individuals through deep listening and presence, allowing for self-discovery and transformation. Zen Coaching incorporates principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), the inquiry practices of the Diamond Approach, and mindfulness techniques rooted in the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. Students will cultivate awareness in the present moment, guiding others to connect with their authentic selves.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC)
Discover the art of compassionate communication through Nonviolent Communication, which helps you express feelings and needs with clarity and empathy. This practice cultivates awareness of the ways we interact with ourselves and others, creating deeper connections based on understanding and respect.
Creative Somatic Movement
Explore how your body can be a source of wisdom and expression. Creative Somatic Movement encourages you to engage with your physical self, enhancing body awareness and emotional expression. Underpinning somatic practices are among others Bodymind Centering, Authentic Movement and Feldenkrais. By integrating movement with mindfulness, you’ll cultivate a more profound understanding of your emotional landscape and creative potential.
Art as creative practice
Unlock the power of artistic expression as a tool for connection and exploration. Throughout the program, you will engage in various artistic practices that invite you to share your personal narratives in creative ways. This holistic approach fosters authenticity and helps facilitate transformational experiences within the group.
Nature Connection Practices
Reconnect with the natural world as part of your journey. Nature Connection Practices immerse you in the beauty of your surroundings, grounding your experience in the present moment. By cultivating a sense of belonging with the earth, you will foster a deeper appreciation for interconnectedness and the bonds we share with all living beings.
Inquiry and Reflection
Foster a culture of curiosity through open exploration and self-inquiry. This practice encourages you to question assumptions, challenge limiting beliefs, and discover new perspectives. By engaging in reflective practices, you will enhance your ability to learn from experiences and cultivate a growth mindset.
These underpinning practices create a rich tapestry for your learning experience, empowering you to grow as a facilitator and leader. By integrating these methodologies into your journey, you will not only develop essential skills for supporting others but also deepen your connection to yourself and your community.
Join us on this transformative adventure, and let’s co-create a world that embraces human connection, creativity, and growth!
