LANDSCAPES OF BELONGING

A full day online immersion into the topic of belonging.

Sunday 26th of May, 2024, on Zoom -. 11.00 - 18.00 ( 1,5 h break)

What is belonging? How are we experiencing belonging? How can we find a deeper sense of belonging in a fragmented world? How do we reawaken our intrinsic sense of belonging to a greater whole?

One thing if for sure - the topic Belonging  strikes a chord within so many people in the world today,  and we see how many people resonate with the approach of inner connection through art embodiment and nature connection.

Sunday 26th of May, Sandra and Hanne invite you to an embodied exploration of these questions. We will be facilitating an inquiry process through somatic movement, nature connection and creative practices that will take you into deeper self connection and a possibility to awaken your deep inner knowing about your own intrinsic belonging.

"Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting ‚Äď over and over announcing your place in the family of things."

The current educational system often fails to provide avenues for exploring the sense of belonging, authentic expression and connection with nature. Many experience feelings of isolation, disconnection and lack of direction. We strongly believe that the creative process and experiential learning should be given space in order to empower a sense of shared responsibility and belonging in this world. You can take part in this workshop to deepen into yourself and/or to learn ways to invite a deeper sense of belonging in people that you work with.

Our intention is to:

  • Create a growing community in the world promoting belonging through embodiment, art and nature connection¬†
  • Share some pearls of concepts and practices that we will work with in the training
  • Learn and explore the topic of Belonging through art, embodiment and nature connection together, both as a personal experience and with the possibility to share these practices with the youth you are working with¬†

The day will include:

  • A personal experience of some transformative creative process, such as painting, storytelling, theater and dancing
  • Practices in Embodiment and meditation¬†
  • A personal and collective exploration into the concept of Belonging
  • Resources to guide and support others¬†
  • Teachings of some different aspect of Belonging

You need:

  • Some paper (A3 if you have ¬† ¬† ¬†
  • A notebook or loose smaller papers and a pen ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†¬†
  • Crayons ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†
  • Watercolors or acrylic (make sure to have a lot of water in them), brushes, sponges or any other things you want to play with and possible something underneath to cover the floor so you do not need to be too careful painting¬†¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†
  • Good internet connection and headset or a space where it is quiet so you can hear us well
  • A cozy space for yourself, with some flowers, plants, candles, lights ect. With some space to move around and loose clothes
  • Something to sit on that you can be comfortable¬†

The practice of Embodiment and Nature Connection shows us our inherent belonging through our own direct experience. We can perceive ourselves as part of the ecosystem's shared living space and interconnected web of relationships - where diversity can be truly celebrated and our uniqueness can find its place as a contribution to the whole.

We believe that humanity is formed around the stories we share and tell - they weave us together - and that Art can touch our hearts, take us to new places and discover ourselves part of something larger. We want to write the story of Belonging, in the most colorful and diverse way possible and invite you into these landscapes of mystery, play, creativity and beauty.
